Micky has a wide range of experience in various sports including cycling, running (cross-county and road), taekwondo, rock climbing and football. Micky is a competitive cyclist and has competed at national level and raced against the likes of Bradley Wiggins and many other of Britains Olympic Medallists of the last few years. A former North East Divisional Road Race Champion and has also been North East Champion on the track in the 4000m individual pursuit. Apart from vast experience and success in virtually every cycling discipline - Road, Time Trial, Hill Climb, Track, Grass Track, Cyclo Cross and Mountain Bike, he is also secretary of the North East's most successful cycling club of the last 30 years - G.S. Metro. Whenever possible he also helps out as a Level 2 British Cycling coach with Newcastle Phoenix and at other cycling events. Recently he has discovered new ways of making his legs hurt by taking up running. Joining Heaton Harriers AC, he prefers competing over 5k & 10k distances with PB's of 18'33" and 36'36" (Placing 37th in 2015 North Tyneside 10K) but has also been seen in cross country events and completed his first (and last?) Great North Run last year in 1h 33 min.
