Between 1989 and 1992, I joined two other Chartered Surveyors in a surveying partnership in Newbury, to combine my survey work for Private Clients with their high volume of mortgage-valuations. I left that partnership in October 1992, when the slow-down in the housing market severely curtailed the volume of survey work, and returned to being a Sole Practitioner in Hungerford, from which I have continued to work, mainly for Private Clients, providing various surveying services. Most of my survey work has been in the residential sector, but surveys of commercial buildings are undertaken, both for outright purchase or where there have been leases with repairing liabilities. Other fields of practice have been introduced as demand or niche-market were perceived, and will be in future.
