Mary then went on to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, where she studied with David Watkins for a further 2 years. In her time there she won a Cripplegate Scholarship, and was also awarded the Max Hext Prize for outstanding contribution to Chamber Music, and the Sir Carl Meyer Memorial Prize for general excellence. In addition to playing with many orchestras, Mary has given numerous harp recitals both in this country and abroad, and plays at weddings and various other functions. She currently combines a career of performing, as well as music teaching. Mary has had years of experience of playing for functions, and has played at venues such as Abode Hotel Canterbury, Allington Castle, Althorp House, Ashford International Hotel, Audley End House, Boys Hall Ashford, Barbican Centre, Boughton Golf Club, Brands Hatch, Broome Park, Canterbury Cathedral, Chart Hills Golf Club, Chilston Park, Cooling Castle Barn, Eastwell Manor, Hever Castle, Knowle Country House, Langshott Manor, Leeds Castle, Little Silver Country Hotel, Lympne Castle, Old Kent Barn, Port Lympne Mansion House, Preston Court, Reads Restaurant, Rowhill Grange, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, St Augustine’s Priory Bilsington, Salmestone Grange, Sharsted Court, Turkey Mill, Waltham Court Hotel, Wallets Court & Whitstable Castle.
