Our clients come from both the public and private sectors and include developers, planning consultants, local authorities, architects, companies and private individuals. Our staff are members of the Chartered Institute of Ecologists and Environmental Managers (CIEEM). A Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA) forms the the starting point for most ecological assessments of a site. It looks at a prospective development site and assesses a site’s potential to support protected species or features that may place constraints on the development site. In the British Isles Bats and their roosts benefit from having legal protection. Bats are often found on potential development sites and in many cases need considered in planning. We are able to help our clients remain within the law through robust survey and well managed mitigation work.
