Marcus Spencer has over 20 years experience working as an antique upholsterer.His passion for restoring antique soft furniture was established during his apprenticeship restoring Howard and Sons armchairs. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is turning the clock back on treasured heirlooms by restoring them to their former glory so that they may be enjoyed for many years to come. I feel that I connect with the traditional methods of the past and the craftsmen that used them. I enjoy being part of the creativity and craftsmanship of the Regency, Victorian and Edwardian periods. During his apprenticeship Marcus also produced sofas for top London designers which helped hone his attention to detail and ability to achieve superb results. Based in a historic Silk Mill in Chalford, Marcus specialises in restoring antique French and English furniture.
