Bonny originally trained as psychiatric and general nurse at The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. She practiced as a nurse for over 13 years in a variety of settings including Claybury hospital, a well known psychiatric hospital in Chigwell Essex. As a result of this Bonny has knowledge and experience of working with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions. Bonny decided to retrain in 1996 and qualified as a counsellor in 1998 after finishing a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling. She then went onto study for a Masters degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy which she completed in 2000. Following this Bonny worked part time for 7 years with the Essex probation services providing drug and alcohol counselling. A long side this Bonny worked in primary and secondary schools in the London Borough of Enfield for 8 years counselling children and young people aged 5-18 years. ny also worked at Anglia Ruskin University for 4 years counselling university students as well as facilitating workshops, support groups and therapeutic groups.
