All our taxis have two way radio, mobile phones and cctv/dash cameras. Our vehicles undergo 2 MOT per year this makes sure that our taxis are well maintained; we are covered by a 24 hour national breakdown service and have liability insurance. Our taxis have plenty of leg room and the regulated seat size of 16â€. All the taxis have decent luggage space but our Citroen has room for folding wheelchairs or scooter. We cater for local regular fares, assisted shopping trips*, school contracts, long distant trips*, cruise ports*, ferry terminal*, train stations, airports* and tour trips of Cornwall. We cover early morning*, late evening*, Sundays* & bank holidays*. We can offer either male or female* drivers, who hold the NVQ level 3, Cornwall County’s contract compliance, customer care & safeguarding training, have valid police checks and regular medicals depending on our age.
Looe Taxis has been established for as long as I can remember which must be at least 40 years. It has belonged to Sue and Alan Stevens for the last 12 years; Alan already ran Alan’s taxis based in Looe & had been a cabby for several years, so with his experience and the help of the drivers that already worked for Looe Taxis, all of us working as a team and working very hard both days & evenings we became the biggest firm in Looe, but gone are the days when we can do that, so we have now scaled down to 5 four seater taxis and still work most days throughout the year.
