Nutritional Therapy uses food and, where appropriate, targeted supplements, to reduce the underlying causes of long term ill health such as inflammation, impaired immune response, hormonal imbalance, digestive and bowel problems. This approach can help with many aspects of ill health including conditions affecting skin, joints, digestion and bowel function, mood, fatigue, women’s health issues such as PMT and menopause and many other chronic health issues. I am a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist with a degree in Nutritional Medicine. I am a member of The British Association for Applied Nutrition (BANT) and am registered with both the Nutritional Therapy Council and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. I have always had a passion for cooking and eating delicious healthy food. Having worked for many years in the NHS, I decided to combine my interest in health and wellbeing with my love of food, by training as a Nutritional Therapist. I completed a degree course in Nutritional Medicine, graduating in 2009. The course was fascinating and combined studying the science of food and nutrition and its effect on health, with supervised clinical training working directly with clients.
