Leeds Martial Arts College was opened in 2002 by 5th Dan Sensei Paul Lynch. After retiring from International Competition, where he won 13 British Championships and was the 1998 World Champion and 2000 European Champion, Sensei Paul, who has been teaching martial arts for over 20 years, wanted to move in a new direction and use martial arts as the vehicle to pass on essential life skills and qualities such as focus, respect and self discipline. We are proud to have been recognised as one of the UK’s most successful independent Black Belt martial arts school for the past 5 years but we do not take that for granted. We continually strive to improve ourselves so that we set a great example to our students and encourage them to develop good social skills, a sense of respect, responsibility and self-discipline. We call this our Black Belt Attitude! We fully understand that people have different goals and ambitions so we offer courses for all ages regardless of ability and specialise in character development.
