It can take several weeks to complete a watercolour painting and I often have work in progress so I complete work in sequence, when one is finished I start the next. Oil paintings take longer and after completion will take another four to six weeks before the painting is dry enough to be moved. With oil paint I prefer to use a palette knife rather than a brush. It allows much stronger images and a better expression of movement, but the resulting thickness of paint requires a long drying time. If you have a particular painting you would like me to do, please get in touch. It could be of your house, of a member of your family, of a favorite pet or a special place. Whatever it is, I would be happy to hear from you. I try and keep my work affordable for most people and ship it unframed so you can choose the right frame for the place you want to hang it.
