During that time I played a significant part in their most prestigious projects including The Henry Moore Institute, The Royal Opera House and The National Portrait Gallery. I later spent five years working as a Project Director at Adjaye Associates where I led the delivery of the Idea Store projects in Tower Hamlets, London. I also ran several small scale domestic projects gaining the critical skills in dealing with small builders and domestic clients. More recently, following a move to Bath, I worked with Stubbs Rich and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios on a variety of commercial, education and residential projects. This has given me a wealth of experience in all aspects of building design, procurement and construction. I have taught at the University of Sheffield and the University of West England. I established my own practice in 2009. The practice is focussed on small and medium scale projects in a variety of sectors. My approach to architecture strives to find the best solution to the client’s needs within the resources available; to make economy of means a guiding principle both in terms of the design and the environment; to create contemporary architecture in tune with its times; and finally to seek out that gem of delight and inspiration that lies within all projects large or small.
