The Japanese manufacturer Toyota was still a relatively new brand in the early 70′s in the UK, but its reputation for quality and reliability was renowned and as both businesses grew a business relationship was formed. Following a move to Penrith in ’73 the company evolved over the next 30 years with Jim’s three sons James, Alan and Stephen - ‘the next generation’ of the family progressing from leaving school and learning the business from the bottom up, through all sides of the business. Over the years James took over the day to day running of the Aftersales department whilst Alan and Stephen moved onto the overall running of the Sales side… delivering a true family service. In 2003 Official Toyota Service Outlet status was approved, allowing the Sale’s Department more freedom on satisfying customer requests for other brand’s whilst still specialising predominantly in Toyota. The Servicing, Maintenance, Toyota genuine parts supply and repairs under the Toyota Manufacturer’s Warranty remained unchanged. With the developments in Penrith town centre starting in early 2005 a new site was found on the Gilwilly Industrial Estate in the town and work began to extend and modernise the existing building to accommodate new computer and phone systems as well as new state of the art MOT testing facilities. A brand new car preparation bay and wash area were also formed at the development.
