I have always had a keen interest in design, with a background in Architecture & Fine Art & teaching Resistant Materials at secondary school level. I started making sterling silver jewellery as a hobby initially but quickly became hooked. I love seeing the whole design process through from initial sketched ideas to a beautifully finished piece of jewellery for someone to treasure for many years. My work is currently sold in several galleries and jewellers around the UK and I also sell my work at craft fairs locally in Dorset. Our silversmith jewellery-making classes are designed to appeal to people of all abilities, from complete beginners to those wanting to brush up on specific skills. I've been running adult silversmith classes for over 8 years, & between myself & my good friends & colleagues Elaine Somerville, Wendy Nutt & Jodie Metcalfe we now run 8 weekly classes (4 daytimes & 4 evenings) each week.
