I'm also very proud to be an Award Winning Story Massage Instructor and I really enjoy being able to share my PAT (Positive Appropriate Touch) skills with others. It's great teaching colleagues to work with each other in the workplace, children to work with each other in schools and clubs, and I absolutely love teaching mums to work with their little ones. I trained as a Holistic Therapist approximately 20 years ago after a serious health issue of my own. It was during my treatment that I discovered the deep and important connection between our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. I was so enthralled, enlightened and excited by the discovery that I gave up a well-paid job in Bristol to take a new career path in complementary healthcare – focusing on the holistic approach. Since then I have worked alongside and received training from many leading and respected complementary healthcare professionals. Every day I look forward to learning something new from my work, my clients or my associates. For more than two years I was a volunteer complementary therapist at the Sue Ryder Hospice in Cheltenham, where I worked with patients with chronic and life-limiting conditions and people receiving end-of-life care. It was an honour to help improve the quality of life of people and their families facing such difficult circumstances.
