IVC started out in the late 1970’s under the name of VolkzPartz when founder John Doyle realised it was cheaper to drive to and from London for VW Beetle parts than it was to buy locally in Rotherham. After a couple of years of selling door to door to other VW owners, John opened an outlet in Sheffield and then in Rotherham. This was the beginning of the renowned car servicing and repair company that operates in Leeds today. In 1986, John opened an independent VW Audi repair centre in Leeds - IVC. At this point, 21-year-old Graham Alderson joined followed a year later Mark Elsom, who joined us from a Sheffield based independent VW Audi company. In 2001, John offered IVC to Graham and Mark, who took on the company, investing and adding new technicians. Many of the staff at our Sheffield repairs and car servicing centre still remain with us from day one.
