We promote a high standard of tuition and whilst the Music School does not specifically focus on ‘exam driven’ learning, we are extremely proud to retain a 100% pass rate over a period of 14 years of teaching. Through our well rounded and integrated teaching methods, our students progress who attend individual lessons progress at a rate of two grades per year (first instrument) and commonly as much as four grades when learning a second instrument. We provide our students with a thorough and well rounded musical education which focuses not only on learning to the play an instrument, but also an in depth understanding of music theory, improvisation and composition. We also place a strong emphasis on independent learning, self responsibility and discipline to practice from a young age and the building of confidence in performance. We often receive feedback that our effective teaching methods also offer benefits to children in the wider scope of education.
