We have been in business for more than 40 years, providing services to marine insurers and their assureds. Our UK offices in England, Scotland and Wales carry out more than 1,500 surveys per year and operate a quality management system. We also have overseas offices in California, New York, Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Singapore, Johannesburg and Durban. ISA are founder members of the British Association of Cargo Surveyors and our surveyors are all qualified members of that Association. ISA are well regarded Sale Brokers and have been since our formation, for the sale of damaged cargo as a means of minimizing and mitigating the loss and determining the loss suffered. We have a dedicated sales team which conducts sales of damage, redundant or over-landed cargo, ranging from small unit quantities to bulk loads, wherever they may lie. In all cases where we act as Sale Brokers, proceeds are received by us from the successful buyer before goods are released to the buyer. On conclusion of the sale, net proceeds (our fees are calculated as a percentage of the sale price achieved) are sent to the Owners of the goods after making adjustments for minor discrepancies in the quantity and our brokerage costs incurred. We run our own checks through in house developed software to ensure that all sales do not fall foul of any International Sanctions.
