Chris Wood, former IMS drum pupil has gone on to great acclaim with the hit UK band 'Bastille'. The group have become renowned world-wide for their album 'Bad Blood' which has topped the UK album charts. Their fourth single 'Pompeii' reached number two in the UK Charts. Chris 'Woody' Wood was taught using the IMS teaching method at a Plymouth Secondary school, before moving on to play professionally. Chris's IMS teacher was Mr Colin Bacon, a renowned Drummer with the Royal Marines Band for many years. Colin taught Chris using our specialised teaching method using words and phrases to convey rhythmic patterns in a more memorable way.
