My path as a therapist started in 1983 after qualifying as a yoga teacher and continued regular teaching until 2018. I went to India for a month of intensive training at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in Kerala, India. I stayed there to gain teaching experience for a while. I travelled in India for 5 months. I found the Indian science of life, and the Hindu philosophy very interesting, and helpful. In 1982 I became interested in basic Shiatsu before there were any Shiatsu schools. I then started training at the British School of Shiatsu for 3 years from 1986 — 1989, and in 1990 qualified as a teacher. In 1993 I moved back to Dorset to set up as a full time therapist. I completed my Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming training in 2003. I enjoy walking, especially on the Purbecks, or anywhere in the countryside or beach and all types of music and, socialising.
