Hurstpierpoint Pre-School provides care and education for young children between the ages of 2½ and 5 years old. We first opened to the children of the local community in 1967. Manager Carey Tighe started in 1997 and has seen many children come and go, including her own. The Pre-School is located in the centre of the village, between the village library and St Lawrence C of E Primary School. We benefit from a main room as well as the use of a large hall, a smaller quiet room and a large outside space facing the school field. We encourage parents to join in with Pre-School life, perhaps helping out in sessions or at fundraising events like our Sponsored Walk or by joining the Committee. We also get involved with local events and community groups like the St Lawrence Fair and the Hurstpierpoint Horticultural Society. This partnership with parents and the community is really important to us and contributes to a varied, fun and educational experience for our children.
