As is typical in a family business, my father taught me to be a plasterer, in much the same way as his father taught him. So many years of plastering experience have been passed down. Beware of 'Handymen' types who claim to be a skilled plasterer When infact have only done 4 day courses. We always do 2 coats of plaster when plastering, There are plasterers who offer a cheap one coat wonder, this is poor workmanship And you will only be buying trouble, as in 12-18 months time cracks will start to appear, Or even worse bits start to fall off. Then a full plaster reskim is needed.
