Over the next decade Andy provided environmental and social management input to numerous international projects, including ESIA and construction supervision on a great many highway projects; establishing offices in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Turkmenistan as Project Manager for EU TACIS; ESIA of water and wastewater projects; and evaluation of routes for pipeline projects in the UK. The Director continued to broaden his experience by managing the ESIA and all Environmental and Social aspects for WorleyParsons and African Minerals Ltd (AML), for the Tonkolili iron Ore project in Sierra Leone. Andy then transferred across to African Minerals as their General Manager for Environment, where he was responsible for all environmental aspects for AML, including development of Policy, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), practices and an Environmental Management System (EMS); covering construction of ca. 300km of new rail, redevelopment of a large port facility and an expansive green field iron ore mine. AML was a junior mining company developing the green field Tonkolili Iron Ore project.
