Where possible we try to stock local and organic products. Many of the herbal tinctures are biodynamicaly produced. We sell eco-friendly cleaning products, Fair Trade goods and a wide range of gifts to lighten the heart. Belinda runs herb walks locally and also small group workshops on making your own herbal creams and cosmetics. Belinda Murray is the owner and consultant herbalist at Herbaceous Whitstable. She has been a practicing herbalist for 15 years and has trained to the highest standards, achieving a Diploma in Herbal Medicine from the College of Phytotherapy in Bodle Street Green. She also previously qualified in aromatherapy and just for the record has a degree in Electronics. After completing the herbal course, she embarked on intensive self-directed and University study of various related skills including natural skin care and cosmetics, plant identification, botany, permaculture, ecology, chemistry and medicinal horticulture. Her drive in specializing in natural skin products is to enable others to harness nature and use herbal knowledge and simple ingredients to make their own products at home.She loves the creativity and the fact that one can make high quality personalised products for a fraction of the cost of those off the shelf.
