The study of biomedical science formed a significant part of Victoria’s degree course and this has given her an understanding of Western medical diagnosis and their interpretation from a Chinese Medicine perspective. Victoria also has a degree in Anatomy which has proved invaluable to her practice as an acupuncturist. Victoria became interested in acupuncture after her own experience of using it acupuncture to assist fertility. It had the welcome side effect of putting an end to her long history of migraines. As a result of this Victoria has developed an interest in treating infertility issues in both women and men and has completed various post graduate courses in this area. Victoria is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the leading self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture in the UK, whose voluntary register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. The accredited voluntary register (AVR) scheme was set up by the Government to improve standards and safety for the benefit of the public and as such high standards in training, safe practice and codes of conduct are guaranteed.
