I do most of the work myself at this stage as I have found many handymen are not up to scratch at the rates that I charge. I am able to do allot of the different types of handyman work except electrics. Please see my experience below.. My introduction to the world of trade work began when I was 18 working as my uncles helper in his civil maintenance & refractory bricklaying company. There I learnt a ton about concrete work and allot about general building and how to lay bricks inside of kilns, burners and things like that. I then moved on to tiling and have specialised in the trade and can undertake all specialist aspects such as Victorian tiling stone work, polishing etc. After quite a while in the tiling trade I got a bit bored so began working in any other trade jobs that didn’t involve tiling. So over a period of about 6 years I worked as a general builder, window fitter, plumbers mate/bathroom fitter, carpenter, garden landscaper, sound-proofer, pest controller, fireplace restorer and last but not least general handyman.
