There is a comfortable well stocked bar/lounge with a log fire in winter for guests to relax in, and two acres of garden to wander and explore. There are also many stunning walks near by, through Eggerslack wood to the top of the fell or over the fell to Cartmell Many guests visit purley to walk up Hampsfell itself, to discover the breathtaking views it offers. On clear day you can see right across Morcambe bay and the surrounding area. Once on top of the fell you can rest awhile in the stone hospice and read the poems left by Edwardian and Victorian visitors. We also have a restaurant serving a varied menu, and provides bar snacks, light lunches and dinner in the evening, we offer an early bird menu from 5.30pm - 6.30pm and an a'la carte menu till 8 oclock. We pride ourselves on using all local ingrediants freshly prepared daily. Any allergies or special dietary requirements can be accommodated. We offer free parking for cars and cyclists. Very good location for Cartmel Races and the Flookburgh steam fair.
