Being both company and individual members of the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA), the oldest and most prestigious trade association, underlines our professional approach towards our business. We are also members of the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses). You may have seen the many 'local locksmths' advertising online and in the normal 'pages'. Many local locksmiths are in fact companies operating nationally using supposed local phone numbers and incomplete , and therefore fictitious, local addresses. For example, in our local area 01992 numbers can be purchased that get instantly diverted to any other phone number - anywhere in the country. Often the advertised address includes a well known main road but does not contain a way of identifying an individual premises. A 'dispatch center' or 'call center' is often an indication that no such office exist at that address. Also, have a close look at any supposed Trade Associations as many will have been set up by companies specifically to suggest some authority within the locksmithing trade. Financial gain being their incentive. There are some other good trade associations so always check the association's website to get a feel for their motives and then check if a company is indeed a current member.
