I use my own name for my gardening business because it nicely encompasses the way that I approach caring for my clients’ gardens, I do so in a very personal way. While I have a broad range of skills I prefer to offer my clients a holistic approach to caring for their green spaces. I served my apprenticeship (and earned my NVQ) in the wonderful Italianate gardens of Shrubland Hall in Suffolk. I love the wonderful variety of growing conditions that the area around Ipswich has to offer; we live in a glorious county that is as renowned for beautiful stately home grounds as it is celebrated for its colourful country cottage gardens. Since leaving Shrubland Hall I have worked on gardens large and small, supporting clients who want to get involved in the development of their gardens, as well as those who are happy to sit back and watch the (carefully tended) garden grow.
