William Greenwood sold his first painting in 1975 and through his passion for Art decided to build a Gallery and Workshop in Burneston next door to his family home. In 1991 William Greenwood held his first exhibition and has since held them regularly becoming widely known as an expert in his field. During this period his two sons, James and Ben joined the family business and now work in the workshop and are slowly but surely picking their Dad's brains for his knowledge and expertise. The Gallery and workshops are situated in Burneston, which is very close to major transport networks and in close proximity to the A1 Motorway. The Gallery has normal opening times but it is best to ring first on the gallery or mobile number if making a special journey. Burneston is very close to Bedale and the Gateway to the Dales, where local artists such as Fred Lawson took much of their inspiration.
