Mr George C Johnson, the founder of the company, had many years experience within the trade working as a representative for Manders Paints before taking the decision to go it alone, and when he opened his shop the emphasis was very much on having everything that a professional decorator could require in stock or readily available, and being able to answer any decorating question quickly and with expert knowledge.
