This programme will not only assist staff to satisfy the Scottish Government’s new registration requirements, it also highlights for landlords, our commitment to best practice and high professional standards as housing professionals working in letting. Under the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014, all letting agents operating in Scotland are required to sign up to a new compulsory register by the end of September 2018. The Act also requires letting agents to abide by a statutory Code of Practice and to fulfil certain minimum requirements on training. We are ready and qualified to register on an immediate basis. We are also members of the National Approved Letting Scheme (NALS); are certified, fully endorsed, Safe Agents (highlighting that our landlords and tenants’ money is fully protected through a Client Money Protection Scheme); members of the Scottish Association of Landlords, its associated company The Council of Letting Agents and its sister company Landlord Accreditation Scotland; The Chartered Institute of Housing; and, we further offer redress through The Property Ombudsman Scheme.
