I grew up surrounded by flowers. My family home was full of colour and fragrance permeating throughout. Flowers remind me of my mum and my grandmother. The matriarchs of my family passed on a precious gift to me- an appreciation that flowers are natures most beautiful offerings. It was therefore completely natural for me to turn my passion into a career. Looking back my love of colour and form was apparent with every picture I coloured in or drew from a very young age. My doodles were always flowers- large extravagant blooms that entwined the blank pages, reaching out for spaces to decorate and fill. For me the tendering of fragile blossoms represents the nurturing I received as a child. Flowers are glimpses of warmer seasons long forgotten on dark winter nights. Any arrangement of blooms tantalises our senses with colour and fragrance.
