Elrina is a Chartered and State registered physiotherapist with almost 25 years experience and one of the first practitioners in the country to be board certified in Lifestyle Medicine, a new speciality that uses evidence based lifestyle therapeutic approaches to prevent, treat and often reverse the most prevalent chronic diseases present in modern society. For example, cardio vascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol, stroke and some cancers. She is also a member of the Acupuncture Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and holds her certification in Korean hand therapy from Seoul enabling her to treat a very wide variety of conditions not normally treated by physiotherapists. Her interest in acupuncture started due to dry needling for musculo-skeletal conditions and she subsequently explored this fascinating treatment and uses it daily in treatments for a wide variety of condition — either solely or in conjunction with physiotherapy modalities.
