Fivemiletown College has long been recognised as a leading all-ability school and we are justly proud of the achievements of our pupils . The original school opened in 1960 but we currently enjoy “state of the art” facilities in our new building which was opened in March 2009. We have capacity for almost 500 full time students. Our sporting facilities include a 4 court sports hall, 5 all- weather tennis courts, a ‘technogym’ fitness suite, a full size floodlit ‘Astroturf’ hockey pitch and an indoor heated swimming pool. The weekly youth club is held in the youth annexe and the college’s sports provision offers facilities to the wider community during the evening and weekends, enhancing its status as a community College. We pride ourselves on being a school which caters for children of all abilities. We offer a wide range courses, both academic and vocational in collaboration with SW College (Omagh Campus) and St Ciaran’s College, Ballygawley. We have seen many of our students graduate from universities and move on into professional careers as well as those who have achieved success in the business world, trades and agri-food industries. Children with special needs are ably supported through our well- planned special needs provision and classroom assistants are valued members of our teaching support team. Pupils from all faiths and backgrounds are welcomed in the school and we aim to foster a sense of respect for others.
