However, I did enjoy being creative with pencil and paint, it was whilst at University that I truly developed my passion for taking photos. I grew up in South Africa and studied a Bachelor of Fine-Art Degree, majoring in Photography, at Rhodes University; taught & inspired by the very quirky photographer Obie Oberholzer. I loved working with film at the time, in particular the process of developing an image and seeing the final outcome. Since then I’ve moved from the dark side, to the digital side, something I thought I would never do; although I will never lose the romance of working with film! In 2004 I moved from South Africa and lived in London for several years, working in a creative role as a Project Manager installing themed sets within visitor attractions such as Madame Tussauds. In my free time I began photographing weddings and events.
