First Avenue Training's primary mission is to improve children's lives and wellbeing through the delivery of effective training to the professionals that look after them. Our aims are: To develop the practice, knowledge and skills of learners to support children's wellbeing and development and to become suitable childcare practitioners; and to develop the skills of learners wishing to become responsible tutors/assessors. Our objectives are that learners will: Gain the knowledge and understanding suitable to their subject area; Have an opportunity to practice skills and put into practice knowledge gained; Be offered support, advice and help to achieve their work and learning goals. We are specialists in delivering Childcare and Teaching Assistant qualifications through Work Based Learning. In addition, we deliver Adult Teacher Training and Assessing Qualifications. We also offer funded training for Apprenticeships.
