The water taxi business has been operating for 35 years and has a well-established customer base, our local professional skippers have many years experience between them, some are even lifeboat crew with the RNLI, we operating 3 purpose built water taxis (boats) each licensed to carry up to 12 passengers leaving Exmouth Docks (or marina as its now known) to/from moored boats within the lower Exe Estuary. Additionally, Exeplorer Water Taxis are exclusively licensed to provide a ferry service between Exmouth and Dawlish Warren nature reserve & beach resort, situated just across the lower part of the Exe Estuary. The River Exe is one of the UK's most beautiful rivers offering world-renowned bird watching (Ramsar Site) and marine life within its SSSI status. We also act as commissioned agents for the local authorities visitor moorings & offer a number of other services such as towing, jump starts and private charters.
From April 1st to September 4th each year, we provide an exclusive service between Dawlish Warren & Exmouth.
