Adela graduated from Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University Brno, Czech Republic in 2003. She has been working as an equine vet at mixed practice in Kent for 8 years, after which she founded solely equine ambulatory practice East Kent Equine Ltd. Her main interest has always been in equine lameness investigation and diagnostic imaging (especially ultrasound and radiography). To improve her knowledge in this area she continued her post-gradual training under Liverpool University and achieved a RCVS recognised Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Surgery and Orthopaedics (Cert AVP ES-O) in 2010. She found very frustrating that many of the lameness cases were due to altered biomechanics and back problems, which are notoriously difficult to treat by traditional veterinary medicine. This lead her to look further into "alternative" treatments and she then decided to continue her further education in animal chiropractic, as this is the most specific and safest manual back therapy.
