The Club opened in 1993; the course provides 18 holes designed as two loops of 9 and plays in and around some 20 acres of mature woodland. With the natural contours of the landscape, as well as individual mature trees, the siting of several lakes and water courses Elton Furze offers an attractive setting and a course to challenge all levels of golfer. Take the 7th hole for example, this testing 432 yard hole requires excellent skill and judgement to avoid a range of obstacles including ditches, bunkers and a slanting tree across the fairway, With a raised green some 15 feet above, set amongst beautiful mature oak and ash trees, nothing gives a golfer greater satisfaction than sinking the ball on one of the best par 4’s in the country.
