A valuation is needed for various other reasons, perhaps for inheritance purposes, capital gains tax, marital split or if you just need to know that the property you are buying is basically ok. The Report also includes an insurance valuation and informs you of any significant issues that could affect the stability of the property. A traffic light system and detailed analysis of each element of the Property should enable you to make an informed decision on whether to purchase a property and an independent point of view with regards to a value. A building survey is the bespoke Report ideally retained for larger properties, unusual or non traditional construction. Often, properties over 100 years old fall into this category, but we will always provide free advice on which survey to go for.
