In 2012 we were very pleased to open our own spacious premises at Concorde House Clinic on Stour St in central Canterbury. Here we have three light and well-furnished treatment rooms, a full herbal dispensary with both dried and concentrated granule herbs, a reception room with a selection of fine Chinese and herbal teas, herbal creams and other recommended health products for sale, plus a large room for group work, classes and workshops. Dominic Harbinson began his training in traditional Chinese medicine with a 3-year full time course in acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, from which he graduated in 2000. He followed this up with a 2-year post-graduate course in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, graduating in 2005. While he was completing his herbal training, Dominic worked as a volunteer at the NHS Gateway Clinic in Lambeth Hospital for two years in order to boost his clinical experience. The Gateway Clinic provides acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine treatment for general health problems as well as for immune deficiency problems, mental health and addictions. It serves the London boroughs of Southwark, Lewisham and Lambeth with all patients being referred by their GP or hospital consultant. It is widely recognised for its pioneering work with HIV and Hepatitis C.
