David originally started by opening a small second hand furniture shop in Parley Cross in 1972. In 1980, he expanded by purchasing premises in Glenmoor Road in Ferndown and in 1984, a further shop at Longham. In 1992, David purchased the Welcome Lodge Hotel on Ringwood Road Ferndown and this was transformed into the showrooms as you see them today. Over the 44 years, the showroom has been supplying sofas, armchairs, dining tables and mattresses in ferndown and has grown into one of the most prestigious furniture showrooms in the South with over 30,000 sq feet, offering traditional and contemporary furniture including beds and bedroom collections. Top leading manufacturers are on display including, Duresta, Parker Knoll, Ercol, G-Plan, Stressless, Vi-Spring, Tempur and Somnus. The welcoming Balcony Cafe at the heart of the showroom serves Italian coffee, speciality teas, light lunches and a range of tempting cakes. A successful addition to their service has been the wheelchair friendly courtesy car, offering the chance for more elderly and infirm customers to visit the showrooms.
