Mr. Lam graduated in 1993 from Guy’s Hospital Medical School (BSc(Hons) MB BS), and continued his surgical training in London to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS(Eng.)) in 1998. His specialist plastic and reconstructive surgical training continued at Salisbury, Stoke Mandeville and the Oxford Radcliffe Infirmary. As a Clinical Research Fellow in the laser treatment of burns, his thesis was unconditionally awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) by the University of London in 2005. After passing the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Plastic Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2004 (FRCS(Plast.)) he carried out further specialist training in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia, where he spent a year as the Microsurgery Fellow.
