I passed the Association of Taxation Technicians exams in 1993, and was admitted to membership shortly afterwards. I then went onto pass the notoriously difficult Chartered Institute of Taxation examinations, and was also admitted to membership shortly afterwards. This prestigious body includes amongst its members most of the UK’s leading tax experts. I have worked within the accountancy and tax profession for over 25 years. For the first 13 years of my working life, from 1986 to 1999, I worked in general practice for a Liverpool firm of Chartered Accountants. At the turn of the millennium, I decided that I had gained sufficient experience, and professional qualifications, to start my own accountancy and tax practice. Throughout the years since 2000, I have acted for many and varied clients. My services are aimed at small businesses, personal tax clients, and landlords / property investors.
