From my studio based on the edge of Dartmoor, between Plymouth and Tavistock I create romantic, exquisite and beautiful wedding flowers that have a ‘just-picked’ feel and are individually designed just for your wedding. I had never imagined that one day I would be a florist. When our three children all reached school age I didn’t want to return to shift work as a nurse but knew I needed to do something and also do something new and creative. With two City and Guild floristry certificates I then went on to gain invaluable experience working in a local florist shop. Creating Dartmoor Flowers has allowed me to develop my own individual style of wedding flowers and make it available to couples getting married. Garden-style flowers, the hedgerow, woodlands and the Moor. These, and the changes that the seasons bring constantly provide me with inspiration.
