Work is carried out to a high standard, using traditional methods and taking great care of the finished patina. I can provide anything from repair of minor scratches to replacement of broken joints or complete rebuilds. I repair period or modern furniture and smaller items such as clock cases. I am the second generation in the family who has worked in the restoration of antique furniture, learning at lot from my father, who was a master craftsmen. I would work with with him, for example, on period 18th century English furniture. I am still fortunate to be able to use many of the tools that my father used and that were also passed down to him. Using period tools and techniques passed down from my father, who was trained himself by old craftsmen, working in London for a company called Shards who specialised in furniture restoration and making hand copies of English furniture.
