In July 2011 the school was purchased by Jo Middleton a fully qualified; highly experience Dance Teacher who has transformed the school into an exciting, energetic and highly creative space, classes are held at our studios in Knaresborough. Danceworx now offers the IDTA ofqual recognised vocational dance qualifications a level 2, 3 and 4 certificate or diploma with credits going towards university ucas points. In October 2011 Danceworx was awarded recognition by the Council for dance education and was awarded the status of Recognised pre vocational dance & musical theatre school this was fantastic for the school and allows students and parents to distinguish that Danceworx is recognised as a school with a high standard of teachers and teaching practices. No one would leave there child with a nursery or playgroup without checking it was run properly however this is often overlooked when choosing a dance school , having this award means that as a parent you know that at Danceworx we are committed to putting the safe well being and training of your child first.
