Over the last 40 years, I have witnessed the powerful effect Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can have on abroad range of conditions both as patient and practitioner. Acupuncture alone has had a great importance in re-creating a balance in both my own and my patients’ lives and health. My own background was initially in the Sciences. I studied Neurobiology and Psychology at the University of California at Berkeley in the 1970’s. After moving to England in 1979, I worked in health and arts charities. After that working as a market analyst in a business consultancy. In 1993 I began my studies in Chinese Medicine at the London School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. This school has now become part of the University of Westminster in London. Obtaining a degree in acupuncture in 1996, I have been practicing in Hampshire and West Sussex for the last 20 years. Later in 2008, I studied pre-prepared Chinese Herbal Remedies at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York.
