Creative Cohesion is a registered charity which specialises in arts based activities to help develop people’s learning, understanding and appreciation of art and creativity. We facilitate the promotion of creative practices through workshops, events and classes as well as providing artists with the space that allows them to develop their own practices. Creative Cohesion was formed in 2010 by a group of Sunderland based artists enthused from a Sunderland City Council led visit to Washington DC to take part in an art event called Artomatic. Inspired by the energy and initiative they witnessed there, they returned with an aim to create their own community studio facility. Having converted a derelict garage in Sunniside, Sunderland, the charity has become home to professional artists working in glass, ceramics, fine art, photography, graphic design and music.
