All work is undertaken by our small, dedicated professional team who are completely committed to providing a high quality and professional service with great attention to detail. We provide grounds and garden maintenance services working for commercial clients as well as small private residencies to larger country estates. Country Gardens and Landscapes were established in 2006 by company director Alex Colman. Alex has extensive experience in Landscaping and gardening after undertaking and completing an apprenticeship in Amenity Horticulture at Writtle College gaining an NVQ levels 2 and 3. Alex then gained comprehensive and detailed experience whilst working for a decade at a private country estate in Essex, serving as Head Gardener for three years, maintaining 10 acres of formal and vegetable gardens. Alex also worked in the Forestry department, felling, planting and pruning trees, specific to the maintenance plans, leading him to gain his chainsaw licence. This career also included working with the Estates maintenance department performing repairs to the old house, creating new landscaped areas, footpaths, greenhouses, barns etc.
